Looks just about as good as a nearly 20 yrs old tractor could. Like Bota4me mentioned you got yourself a cool looking little tractor at a fair price and the owner recooped all/most of his investment.

Hi IronMagz,

Congratulations on your new baby!!

The other comments are correct- you got a great new toy- err tool there!!

Now you absolutely need two more things at a minimum:

1) As someone else already said- you need to get you a ROPS [Roll-Over Protection System] to keep you and anyone else you let play- err- work with her safe from the #1 killer of tractor operators. [Oh, and a seat belt if there isn't one already.]

2) If you intend to do any digging, moving dirt, dragging or raking, think seriously about getting you a Piranha Tooth Bar from Harry at BXpanded: BXpanded Piranha Tooth Bar

It's prolly the best money we ever spent on our B2320 in terms of making it function better in all of those activities.

And again, Congratulations!!

I'll definitely look up the tooth bar you mention. The ROPS came with it... he said he took it off once after he went under tether wires at a telephone pole and caught the thing and "REALLY" shook the pole and high wires!! :) Guess it scared him more than the thought of a rollover. In fact I started to put it on first thing after I got it home. But it is a tight fit. I went back and forth to each side pulling it down and now it's not all the way down and doesn't want to come off....

The seat belt is also there. I'm good to go once the ROPS is bolted on... though as wedged as it seems it might still work till I get it figured out... Thanks for the reply.

Yep he did pretty good on recouping a good portion of his costs... and I was looking at a lot of them for up around the 9k mark that looked used a lot more than this one with a lot more hours. Not to mention the lack of implements that came with them. I'm really happy!! :)

Congratulations! That tractor is in SUPER nice shape from the pics. If it runs like it looks you guys both made a great deal. The owner for keeping it museum quality over the years, and you should have one sturdy long running workhorse:)

Yeah it seems to be as good as it looks! It fires right up, and runs strong. Already "box" bladed half of the driveway and it did well. I was concerned about it's power pulling that box blade (granted only 48")... After 7 years since we've been here the compacted driveway has been broken up!! It was mounded and grassy in the middle and now is turned up rocky again!!! I'm liking it"!! :)

So for the bad news of the day.... we got over there to pick the tractor up. After some short greetings with the "ex" owner. It was time to jump on and start it up and do some loading.

But after starting her up and lifting the 3pt, along with the MMM I raised the loader and started to curl up the bucket and I saw some hydraulic fluid shoot out of a house.

I thought holy shoot! I just paid for this and it just broke! !? So now the bucket won't stay up and I still need to get it up on the trailer, the ex owner had moved and this tractor needs to come with me.

Luckily the arms would hold the bucket up even though the bucket was a little limp and wouldn't stay up. We finally got it loaded up with all of the implements and got it home.

So after getting home I called the nearest dealer and tried to find some hoses. They didn't have what I needed. A couple other places were closed for the weekend celebrating labor day.

I decided to call a rental company I thought made hyd. Hoses and see if they could make me a hose,. Well they made me one and in no time I had it installed, with every thing working .

Anyway all is operational now and running as it should.

I'll try to get more pics uploaded within a day or two.

No worries, I'm just glad to hear that you have the safety gear.

Best wishes on your future as a member of the K.O.G. (Kubota Owners Group)!

That tooth bar looks awesome! Now I have to get the wife to be ok with another purchase.... I have plenty of uses for one. Saplings, brush piles and a mound of dirt to move, (it's been there for 4 or 5 years).

The dirt mound and any grading you want to do will be like butter with the PTB on.

It's good to get some bite on the saplings as well- we had tried to push some over before getting it, but there wasn't enough "bite" ti keep the bucket from slipping off, and with the PTB on, it's a piece of cake.

As for the brush pile- I'm not sure the PTB will help, but a decent set of forks will, and unless you have the fable Quick-Attach loader bits, chain-on forks are the way to go, and my Yankee Warehouse forks have been great [our B2320 is pretty close to your new baby in size, weight, and HP- except that we have our rears loaded with RimGuard, and I loaded our ballast box with scrap iron and concrete to the tune of >675#].

I was going to add a link for the Yankee Warehouse website, but it is defunct- too bad, I love the forks.

This our PTB; BXpanded Piranha toothbar front view.jpgBXpanded Piranha Toothbar end view.jpg

And the ballast box: 20130926_171607.jpg20130926_171617.jpg

PS: That's not rust on the PTB, it's our red clay.
