Reference this thread for history. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/.../346659-more-emission-bs.html?highlight=regen Yesterday loading dirt is started going into regen ever hour or so. Today the **** thing is back in limp mode!!! I'm guessing another 600 mile round trip to the dealer is in order!! I SO WISH i was smart enough electronically to cut all this crap off the tractor and get rid of it as other than this BS issue the tractor has been great but its awfully hard to get ANYTHING done at 1,750 RPM!!!!!! Here is todays video..... 214 LS XR337C regeneration issues starting all over again. - YouTube

My XR4040H is doing the exact same thing. No one can figure it out, and like you, our dealer is far enough away that it is very inconvenient to send the tractor for repairs.

When i took it to the dealer it did not do it. They ran it for 6 hours and no issues. When i start working with it it happens. Problem is they have to be here with the computer as they can only see what's going on WHEN it happens, In other words it stores no codes. Wish i was a better electrical guy. I weould get rid of all the BS.....

My 4046 would go into regen mode for long periods of time last year and the PTO would come on by itself but only for a couple of seconds. He ended up replacing the dash board. 70 hours later no problems.

Spoke to soon. Went to spread stone and tractor went into limp mode and shut down after 30seconds. According to the manual the DPF is over 140%. Have to call the dealer tomorrow.

For the first time since getting this tractor, I am regretting not going with something where the dealer was in town. When the tractor works, it's fantastic and fun. But too often there is something going wrong with it...usually electrical related. And I am only 16 hours into it. After working it yesterday for a few hours, it went into limp mode again. So today I let it idle for three hours waiting for the Regen to finish....I finally just shut it off.

Ironically, I have every major tractor manufacturer available to me in town EXCEPT LS, lol. Sigh.

Hold the regen button down with the key off and start the tractor continuing to hold it. It will force it into Regen and will run a little over an hour to complete. Starting to see more of this now. Who's got a wiring diagram for these things?

Yeah, I tried this when I ran it for the three hours. The lights still didn't turn off. I am beginning to think I have a lemon too, lol.

I talked with my dealer again...they are saying to try tightening the fan belt that connects to the air pump on the left side of the engine. He was saying if it slips even a little bit, the fan won't engage and the regen cycle will never work properly. He was saying to try turning the pump by hand...if it is turnable, the belt is too loose. Gonna try this tonight and see if that fixes the problem.

Well, not the air pump as best I can tell. The dealer happened to have his mechanic in this week, so they are sending him out this evening to take a look at things.

I kept having trouble with my regen. until one day I went out and did as I do with my computer from time to time.

I rebooted it!

I took the neg. post of the battery for a moment or two. Fired it back up and two weeks later it still regen'ing like a champ!

Who'da thunk it?

Sometimes it's the littlest things that prove to have the most dramatic effect.

I read mjstef's post that his regen problems didn't start till about 170 hours.
How about the rest of you that are having the same problems. About what hours did it start.
I'm only about 100 hours and hoping I don't get the regen limp mode symptom.
Please keep us all informed if LS or anyone's dealer comes up with a solution.

Lets think about this a little. I have a gear drive. How many others having issues are running a gear drive? Think of OLD SCHOOL tractors. Using the front end loader and hitting the throttle to raise RPMS and make the loader go faster. What did you see?? SMOKE! Smoke plugs DPF's Currently bush hogging 20+ acres of subdivision lots and it has went through REGEN 2X without issue. I'm thinking low RPMS are causing too much soot with these tractors. With a Hydro your always running 1/2 to full throttle (which burns more fuel) but your not getting the spike in soot. This is just my observations......

I have an HST version and problems started at 5 hours. Dealer's mechanic came out and reset the codes on the computer to get it out of limp mode, but he expects the problem to come back.
