My dealership quoted me $675 for the 50 hr. I did it myself and it came to about $225 in materials and parts and this with all Mahindra branded stuff. My dealership also gets $90 per hr. labor and charges $100 for pick up and delivery. It was just made sense for me to do it. I also think that the dealer mech might not work on just "your" tractor. They charge for "drain" time but they are not under your tractor the whole time. They'll jump to another job but will charge you anyway. If they start your tractor say at 9 am and they finish your job at noon, they have charged you for all of those hours even though they did not work on just your tractor. They simply look at "start" time and "finish" time and strictly go by what the clock says and not actually what happened.
If you do your own 50hr., could it jeopardize the warranty?
Also, legally (per the Magnum Moss Warranty Act) you only have to prove that you used compatible parts, not OEM ones and they have to prove that the aftermarket parts caused the problem (ie: if you use Fram filters they have to show that the Fram filter caused the problem to deny warranty coverage).I save my sales receipt for all of the filters and fluids I buy for the service from my dealer.
I would think if you can show you used only authorized filters and fluids they would have a hard time saying your warranty is void.
For those interested, here are the part numbers off my invoice and their price at my dealer.
