The tractors amaze me I have not taken out any thing that big. I think I going to put backhoe attachment on wish list

I learned from the head sales guy that the back hoe should be only the size which the tractor's hydro pump can work.
Also I do most of the work w/ the 9 inch bucket (3 teeth). Our 18 inch bucket is used for digging sand.

The massive roots under some of these old trees have to be picket at nearly one at a time.
I have learned that some old pine trees will drop several tap roots right along side the main tap.

Some of the secondary tap roots went down & easy 6 ft. When you start on one of these old buggers you're usually there digging, cutting & pulling out to locate the main big anchor.

Put the new tire rod on today, then put about 6 more hours on the meter. If I get a hoe it be self contained

Self contained....does this mean it could be run totally independent of a tractor?

Perhaps from the back of a strong trailer, if anchored & the out pads could reach the ground ?

I think by self contained you are thinking of a BH with its own hydraulic tank and a PTO driven pump. I have a Woods BH750 that has its own self contained hydraulic system driven by a PTO pump. It can be 3 pt. mounted and used that way but I'd strongly suggest it be mounted to its own sub frame bolted to the tractor. A BH can put a lot of stress on smaller tractors so they should be sub frame mounted for strength. Mine came with a sub frame for a different tractor. I adapted that frame to my tractor.
