Replacing the forward reverse shuttle in a montana 3040 and clutch

your post from 05-19-2017, 07:22 PM this should be in the right position..but my memory is spotty please check your top shaft.........you were flip flopping this during this post.

your probably going to have to jack one wheel off the ground and roll this shaft to check all 3.

Got it all back together Saturday and it shifts like a brand new tractor.We'll see how long that big nut stays in place!. Many thanks to Spokane1 here on the forum as I could not have done this without his help and guidance, many thanks man! He is correct, you will need a couple years of wrenching to take on a job like this and be successful. Thanks again sir.

fill the bucket of the tractor full of beer and ice... and the tank full of diesel.......start driving west hopefully you time your beer consumption so there is one left by the time you get to Spokane. LOL
