Hi Rich, How many hours on your tractor.

I see you are questioning a four in one bucket and we have only sold a few but it seems nobody uses them very much. To need a grapple they open more if using with brush then the four in one does.

Peter we have been trying to tell you this.

Please note there is a tractor in this photo somewhere. I don't think a 4 in 1 would have had a chance.

I purchased the 4 in 1 with my L45 and I am glad I did. I often need to pick up a rock or log and it is faster to pick it up with the 4 in 1 then getting off the tractor or switching to my grapple. However, as Mike has so well documented, moving brush or debris is much better done with a grapple than any type of bucket. It is surprising how large a brush pile one can pick up with a set of forks too although without the clamping force of a grapple one needs to pile the brush carefully and move cautiously to ensure it doesn't all fall off the forks.

I had to move several long pieces of pipe (20' - 48') and the 4 in 1 was greater for that as the grapple was too large and the forks were not good with material that long. If you do a lot of back dragging the 4 in 1 will open a little bit over time so I just push the close button every five or ten minutes to keep the bucket closed. If you search on here for L45 posts by me Peter you will find photos of some modifications I made to my 4 in 1 to protect the cylinders on the bucket and to increase its carrying capacity.

Enjoy that new L47 Peter - I am looking forward to seeing the photos!

Regards,

Lauren
