Bet that contractor won't like taking it out and redoing it. But, it does look reddish.

Looks like we are going to be able to salvage the curbing. I took a pressure washer to it today and was able to remove the majority of the red. What's left is just a hint of it and looks brown now when wet. If it looks the same when we apply sealer it should turn out looking just fine. The underlying mortar is a tan in color and was able to bring most of that back out after pressure washing. I'll update pics after we seal it.

The curbing turned out fine after pressure washing the red off. I was able to get some sealer on it yesterday.

I was also able to finish hanging my outdoor string lights. This turned into a longer project than I had planned but was happy with the end result. The string lights along with the outdoor landscape lighting create a really nice setting at night. The only item left for our outdoor area is to install the sound system. I've got all of the components in now, just need to get started on it.

Wow that is just awesome!!

Thank you. The cables holding the string lights show in the pictures but you can't see them in person. It looks like they are floating at night and creates a really nice effect.

I may need to renew my wedding vows just so I have a reason to travel over there to get a good look at the finished product. Thanks for allowing us all to follow along with this journey.

Thanks Eddie. Started on speaker install today but only got 3 of the 8 speakers done before work got in the way. Going to try to finish it up Monday.

I finished up the sound install today. At least to the point that it is working. I still need to install a single gang box on my column that has the speaker wire so that I can put a connection plate for easy hookups. I ended up installing a sonance outdoor 70 volt system using 8 of their LS48Sat speakers and one sub. I was able to get the subwoofer off ebay new for a fraction of the list price. Even with that this was an expensive install but man it sounds incredible. I have 4 speakers in the trees and 4 on the ground surrounding the patio. It puts out more than enough sound and is crystal clear with even sound throughout the patio. Most wedding setups I've seen use portable speakers that are either hard to hear at the back of the wedding or blast the people in front so there is enough sound in back. This is a perfectly even layer of sound throughout. I don't normally get too excited over stuff but this one put a smile on my face. Should be one more little detail that sets us apart from the competition.

The other nice thing is there are no big ugly speakers sitting around. Most would never notice we had speakers surrounding the patio.
