Next wedding is this coming Saturday. Hoping to get curbing and mulch done by then. I put some grass seed down a few days ago as well. Hoping to get a jump on it before next spring. We also have a wedding on Nov 11 after the end of daylight savings. That one will be at dusk. I will have all of my lighting done by then so I'm looking forward to getting some pics from that one.

Today my contractor showed up to move the trees next to the building so we could get them back far enough for the concrete work and future porch and patio areas. The spade on this rig was pretty impressive. I also planned to move some cedar trees from my property at home to the outdoor wedding area to screen the adjacent property where I have some of my storage containers for my fireworks business. We only got one of the cedars moved before getting rained out. I was happy to get the maples moved as they were priority #1.

A couple of pics from today's wedding setup. The decorations and door setup was done by the wedding party. Tomorrow I start the tear out of all of the sidewalks on the building. Footings are getting poured for posts Tuesday then concrete and stamping Wed and Thursday.

We had a great response from everyone who attended. Just about finished with this area. Landscape lighting and sound going in this week. I tore out the sidewalks today. Work for new concrete starts tomorrow. I rented a skidsteer with a concrete jackhammer attachment to break up the concrete then used my tractor and grapple to move the slabs. The jackhammer attachment was well worth the rental fee and made quick work of everything.

That had to hurt. Your concrete looked great, and I'm sure it wasn't cheap either. Nothing like tearing out something that is in perfectly good condition, just to spend a lot more money putting it back in again!!!!

I forgot you had a Case tractor. Looks really good.

Lol. You are correct Eddie. The hurt is in the amount of concrete going back in. I think we are at around 2,500 sq/ft of new concrete. It will be stamped and colored the same as what we did for the raised pad on the wedding pergola. We have a wedding reception this Saturday so they are going to pour in two sections. Front section this week so it's ready to go for our event Saturday then the back section next week. Calling for rain tonight into tomorrow. Hopefully it stops in time to pour the post footings tomorrow then flat work Wed/Thursday.
