I just received my SB60 last week. Not mounted yet, or even assembled, but I like it a lot. I have examined it and it is well built. I won’t install yet because the tractor is headed back to the dealer for insurance repairs. I am happy with the company— they do what they say.

Let us know how the assembly goes and what you think of the driveshaft.
Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know if they still offer the repeat customer discount?

Finally! I picked it up 2 weeks ago, but couldn't get it outa the truck bed. The pallet they used has no middle support, so had to sneak under there and tack up a crossbar. Anyway...

Make sure that you spray or brush on plenty of fluid film to coat everything that contacts snow in several coats to prevent plugging and ice build up. I am glad to see that you have a warm place to let the ice and snow melt off the mule and the snow blower.

I've found PAM (or equivalent) works better than Fluid Film...
I use Fluid Film on the chain drive...

Mine (SB60) is shipping out today-going to be interesting week next week. Why the heck are cabs so expensive?!?!

I'll write a longer review sometime, but for now I'll just mention that, so far, the Woodmaxx not only meets my expectations but exceeds them. No issues with it (other than getting it out of the shipping crate!) and it eats snow like crazy. It seems to be very well made, and some of the extra features vs. others I looked at, Woods in particular, seem very good - like the separate cutting edge, which I'm running upside down to run over gravel, and the shields in the box that limit how badly snow can get packed in.

If Woodmaxx is reading this, I'm very happy overall, but you need to (1) make it easier to get out of the shipping crate (I had to cut it apart because even with everything unbolted I couldn't wiggle it out), and (2) be clear whether or not grease fittings are factory greased - part of the manual says no, then the detailed page on grease says yes! I ended up greasing them because there was no sign of any grease having been put in, and when I did pump in grease there was absolutely no resistance or noise to suggest any grease had been in there.

Don't let those two little things worry you. I thought I'd be able to clear my driveway in 30-60 minutes, and in fact it's taking me 15 or less with this thing. A lot of that is just positioning/repositioning too.

Did you get the imported driveshaft?, if so what do you think about it, is it poorly made or is it good. I’ve been on the fence about ordering one. How much wider is the blower than the tractor?

I did get the base imported driveshaft, as I did with my other two Woodmaxx implements I bought earlier this year. It's fine. Nothing spectacular, but it works and has no apparent defects or problems. The US-made shaft would certainly offer more pride of ownership, but in the end it's just a wear part. If it were up to me, if Woodmaxx could cut the price-premium in half then I would go for the US pto shaft, but with the current $150 premium on the US shaft I think the imported shaft is good enough.

The width vs. tractor all depends on your tractor. For me, my DK5010 is about 66" wide so the blower is 6" wider, so it sticks out 3" past the track on each side. This works fine. I would ideally like 4-6" on each side but 72" and 84" were the options for Woodmaxx. Some brands offer 74" or 78" and those would have been perfect widths for me, but not the route I took.

We got the USA one because the Woodmaxx salesman said it was longer and should fit better with our 3 point quick hitch. Seems to fit well. Of course do not know what imported would have been like.

For what it's worth, I have a Woods quick hitch (same design as sold by 5-10 other companies) on my DK5010 with the imported driveshaft and there is no length issue at all. In fact, if I didn't have the quick hitch installed I would have had to shorten the PTO shaft 1-2 inches.

Looks like we did not need the USA one. Imagine the imported one will perform just as well. Did you get the manual, hydraulic, or electric chute control? We went with the electric and still need to install and wire the switch unit in.

I got the hydraulic chute rotator (only, not the deflector) and am VERY happy I did. It cost me a ton though - mostly because of the near $600 to get a remote installed on my DK. It's getting constant use though. Hope you find the electric controls equally useful.

We have limited places to blow the snow and being able to easily adjust the chute is important to get it where we want it. Have been using 2 wheel blowers for years and know the routine for us.

Looking forward to trying the blower but has been a lean snow season so far which works fine for me until we have the chute controls installed.

RidgeHiker I have the electric controls on my SB60 using on a JD 2032R, it's has not caused any issues, works great. Woodmaxx does make a very good snowblower hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

I also have the electrical controls. Very big motor and has worked well so far 0 degrees a few days ago. Only thing I did not like was no stops so could rotate forever and rip out my chute actuator wiring. Sure I could have wired up some limit switches but sawing off a few teeth do I have a dead spot when it’s aimed at the back of my head has worked great. Better to give it a nudge to re-engage the teeth than rewire every oops. As said very impressive build quality 32F97F6A-CB32-4825-81AE-D28806B32127.jpeg129AD770-299F-42D7-9F1B-25EAA39A278A.jpeg7AA637AA-B02A-429A-B222-46262ACAB0CC.jpeg6CD53ACC-6B85-44C6-B2D4-1E4F8962F2C6.jpegand new skid feet are 2x wider.

I've had a SB72 for two seasons. We didn't get enough snow to really make use of it the first year, but it served me well last year during 18-20 inch storms and blowing away piles. I have the hydraulic chute controls and they work very well.

Here's a clip blowing away some tall ridges left by my loader-mounted plow.

Got my SB60 yesterday, was some damage during shipping to the box containing the elective motors for the chute and deflector, Woodmaxx support as it on file. I wont be able to assemble till after Christmas to find out if the damaged motor works or not(a piece of wood punctured it and nearly ripped the wires out).
How do you guys remove it from the crate? Some say they used the crate for the blower after so I don't want to destroy it just yet.
