Over and over again. Dad I wanna learn how to use the back hoe. I finally had time and gave in. Cost me quarter tank of fuel more less. A few hours. Now he will have memories for life. Wished I would of recorded more toward the end as he actually started to really get good. He was smoothing stuff out with the bucket, pushing spoils back while dumping more, etc. I think it was time and money well spent !!!

Can anyone explain how to change your HST filters without changing the fluid? Am I suppose to just drain it into clean buckets then pour it back in after the filter change? I'm assuming that removing the filters without draining the fluid will cause the fluid to run out of the filter inlet...

You won’t lose much fluid at all when you change The hst filter.

The hydraulic filter is another story. Some have jacked one side of the tractor up so they don’t lose as much. Other options are plugging the vent so it can’t drain out as fast. Or putting a shop vac on the vent.

Mutz, thanks for the response on your trailer. I think I'm going to go with a Diamond C with the newly designed engineered beam goose neck when they come out. I think I want a 26 foot deck over. How wide is yours from the inside wheel wells? I'm thinking of 2-10K axles with 17" super singles.

My M7060 has filled R4 tires with a loader and a 1400 lb hydraulic box blade. I'd also like to carry my 55" EA Wicked Grapple. I bet all that weighs close to 10-11,000 lbs.

I’m convinced this is one of those internet urban legends - be prepared to catch a LOT of oil changing your filters. And unless your TLB, oil pans and shop are sparkling clean I wouldn’t be re-using that spilled hydraulic fluid. I ended up taking an oil bath changing the hydraulic filters when my 5 gallon oil pan started overflowing...
