Rkidd,
I知 glad you changed it. You did the right thing, I forgot to post it(and I値l look for the site again) but I read that the return port for that prince valve has a 700psi max pressure rating. The way your dealer had you plumb it up was subjecting that return port to over 2000psi. If you never really had much weight on your 3 pt it was fine. But if down the road you put your 3pt to its limit where it needed full hydraulic pressure you probably would have seen a failure on your remote valve sooner than later. Especially if you are doing it on a friends tractor. You want to do it right. My tractor might be delivered at the dealer today. Can稚 wait to get mine all plumbed up.

I called Surplus Center tech department and this is how they recommend also. So all good. Hope your tractor comes in so you can start tricking it out with bucket hooks, bolt on cutting edge on the bucket, tool boxes, lights, and whatever else. Some fun stuff!!

Now I need to decide if I’m going to use a mechanical valve. Or electric controlled valve..

The problem for me with an electric controlled valve, is it is either full on or full off. There is no feathering the valve. Being a former heavy equipment operator, I like to be able to feather a valve to have full control over what I am grabbing or scooping or whatever. Not saying an electric valve doesnt work for people, I prefer the other way. Thats why I ran my front hook up to my rear remote to have that capability.

RKidd. Good point
And running a hydraulic top link I probably want to be able to feather it.

I am hoping there is room to mount the valve down next to the transmission and just run hoses to the back quick couplers. But if the lever routing becomes to difficult then I will mount the valve like you did.

Rkidd,
What size barbed tee did you end up going with?
Did you reuse the metric hose that came with the tractor?

I used the same metric hose that came with the tractor because it fits the existing ports. I just cut out 3/4" for the new Tee. I could not find a Tee to work at any hydraulic shop or tractor shop. One told me to check Home Depot in plumbing. I found a Pex sharkbite !/2" tee that fit the metric perfect, was snug on the new 3/8" return line, but was able to get it on. The only one I found that would fit both. It is a brass fitting rated at 200psi, so will surely handle the return. That ended up being the hardest thing to find but works perfect.
