Expand your search and consider alternatives. When I wanted a trailer for light duty jobs (I consider a 4K lb. tractor as light duty) I found an old tandem axle boat trailer with tilt bed and brakes on both axles, had it welded up to be exactly what I wanted. It's got 3500 lb. tandem axles, tilts for loading/unloading and pulls like it's not even there. I've got four other trailers, all goose necks for heavier loads. It was a waste of fuel to load my small tractor on to one of them. Just a suggestion, do what you will with it. My total investment in that old boat trailer is about $1500. That includes the trailer, materials, welding, lights and new brakes. I also use this trailer as a light vehicle auto hauler. I keep the loads under 5K lbs.
