Hand throttle for 2016 RTV X1140? I can't find one....Is it a unicorn?

These are really simple to install and a lot cheaper to fab up yourself. I ordered the cable and made a bracket and works like the original. The last two numbers in the part number is the length of the cable, I used the 06 on the 900, but the 4 seater Kubota might take a longer cable.

Milkman I'm sure you are right. I paid 170 for this kit from Messicks. I figured at 170, l paid for the bracket.
I have 2 full time jobs and 1 of those jobs has me gone 15 days every month. Ain't nobody got time for that.

You would think that but l think Kubota didn't create a complete kit.

The V4497 number rings a bell for some reason, the early 2007 vintage RTV-1100 came with a simple 1 detent notch remote throttle cable to speed up the engine for the AC in hot weather and there was an upgrade kit out there to go to the multi turn throttle for use with other hydraulic options, so that is why the kit may have no bracket as it was already mounted on the engine for that previous control.

David, I've been inside the engine bay for over an hour. I've looked from above, below, left and right. No extra open bracket is in there. It's only got a small area it can live in and operate the throttle lever on the engine.
I was hoping it was going to be that easy.

Well your model did not come with a throttle control, my RTV 1100 did have one from the factory and pretty sure you got the upgrade kit for the deluxe throttle control so there was no need for the second bracket.

I've been reading through this thread trying to determine whether or not the x1140 can have a hand throttle. I found on the Kubota website that there's one for the x1120D, but it doesn't list one for the x1140. I'm in the market for a RTV, but can't decide between the x1120D and the x1140. This hand throttle might be a deciding factor.

If the 1140 has the ability, and I’m sure it does, to use a front mounted power broom. It has to have the hand throttle to get full hydraulic flow to the broom. I’m sure the kit will be the same but will require a longer cable do to the longer frame of the 1140.
