M7060 - Can additional rear wheel weights be added if the tractor has cast centers?

I'll be stripping the old paint! They look like they've been painted using a mop -huge runs!

I'm not going with the orange, I'll be painting them using the same color as the base tractor - dark gray.

Can you post pics of them?

I don't have photos of them with the crappy paint because the dealer had them sand blasted and gave me the paint of my choice for the repaint - all at his expense!

For the color, I chose "Dark Gray" and below is a photo showing the first side I painted this afternoon. I'll do the other side later in the week and hopefully find some spare time to install them.

Good pic and pretty nice of the dealer to do that for you.

Yesterday, I completed installing two sets of wheel weights on my M7060HDC12. Each individual weight was 164 lbs. With the two wheel weights and the cast center, each rear wheel now has 678 lbs.

To lift a weight into place I made an attachment that fits on a 3PH (see attached photo). The top was telescopic so that I only had to be within 8-inches of the wheel on the tractor I was installing the weights. By leaving off the sway bars, I could also move the weight from side to side as needed.

The other attached photo shows the completed installation.

Looks Good,
On your 3 pt lift arms are those factory quick connects?
They look like the Euro style were the ball stays on your implement and you can back under and lift to hook up?

LouNY,

Yes, they are the Euro style Walterscheid weld on hooks and balls. I machined new telescopic ends and welded on the hooks. At around $230 apiece, I didn't want to harm the original Kubota parts.

This style of "quick attachment" works great. When making an implement connection it doesn't matter how uneven the implement is and they also can tolerate a reasonable amount of misalignment. More importantly, they also don't require any length changes of the PTO shaft if using powered equipment.

Below is a photo of them after the slots were machined, welded, and painted...

Also, here are a couple of videos I found on the 'net that shows how the quick release hooks work ...

I have them on my Branson 8050 it took some getting used to them.
I had been using regular quick hitches till I got that and I have always cussed trying to get the PTOs
connected trying to reach in thru the quick hitch and I mounted one on the Branson when I first got
it then I decided to try out the Euro style and I agree that its much nicer. I don't have the quick attach
top link but it's not bad to hook up as the tractor has a 3 pt lift lower switch on the fender so I'll back under
lift and catch the lift arms and then lift or lower the implement to line up the top link pins. The balls can be pricey to find
to have spares and leave the others on implements. Very professional job switching yours over.
Lou
