FYI I'm pursuing answers to that question in this thread on the hydraulics subforum if anyone wants to follow along FEL and Rear T&T Control Valve Flow Capacity Questions

FWIW for my YFL-1500 FEL the recently installed Brand Hydraulics LV22RFSTKAB (same as sold by Hoye, nominal 10 GPM) is giving very satisfactory control on my 336D with a rated pump flow of 8.4 GPM. I'm happy with the valve though admit I didn't buy from Hoye.

I asked the questions in the hydraulics subforum because I'm still searching for a valve-set to add Rear Aux T&T (where I want good feathering control) and one other DA cylinder control and the 'best choice' isn't quite as apparent for that application. I wanted to confirm that the 'close capacity match' is a selection criteria I needed to maintain.

Good to know, but yet still the YM2000 is less than 4GPM apparently.
Sounds like a 6GPM valve would be ideal for my setup.

I see you’re in Bastrop. I’m just up the road a bit, between Caldwell and Bryan.

from what I can gather from my koyker manual. My valve is 8 gpm

I don't remember what it is exactly. But I seriously know it's in the 4 to 5 range I think.

I was thinking 3.5 or 4.5??

Mine is joy stick. No way I would want a double.
I was in the plumbing business for many yrs. First machine I had was a 4 handle machine.
The next machine I bought was a joystick. I loved it. You can control all loader functions without taking your hand off the handle

Okay, well good news, and bad news.
Loader is all mounted, and everything hooked up.

It works, sort of. Control is good, but extremely slow. Also, have fluid leaking out of my brand new Pierce loader valve through the joystick boot. Have to call Surplus Center on Monday about that I guess.

I do not have the “power beyond” hooked up on this particular setup, yet. I wasn’t thinking I would need it, but I very well might from what I’ve been reading.

My lines go from the pressure side of the pump up to the inlet of the loader valve. The out port goes out of the outlet of the valve and then back to the banjo bolt under the seat currently.

Also, seems like the pump system is under some duress with or without 3 point attachment hooked up. even when lowering the boom. I’ve made sure to check (4 times) all of my loader hoses to be sure they all go to the right places on the loader and loarder valve, according to the diagram for the loader valve.

More bad news, after noticing how slow the boom operation was, and how the pump/system seemed to be making some whining noise when operating the boom both ways, I decided to just take off the box blade from the 3 point, so that way no other effort was spent trying to hold it up.

As we were speaking about a couple of pages back, I am now 100% convinced and have confirmed there is some sort of problem with my 3-point. The arms will not even stay up on their own now unless I pull the raise/lower handle all the way back basically where it is working against the relief valve.

I pulled the strainer for inspection and cleaning and changed the fluid as well.

Seems like I’m going to have to re-build the piston for the 3 point?

If they doesn’t solve the issue then what, time for a pump?

I dont even remember where were at, at this point. But wasent your valve really worn? It could be that its so worn that its bypassing so much fluid. I dont think the linkages would make it not lift up. You could have a bad o ring in 3pt which would not supprise me with age. Its a longer job but bot that long. You can have the whole top off the trans that has the 3pt in it with the arms in like 30 mins probably. If you have a engine lift or hoist it may help. Cause of the awquard position standing backwards on tractor it was all i could do to lift it and get off the tractor. I could not go backward with it cause of the ROPS. And to give you an idea, i was about 30 at the time i did it and am 6'2" and about 200lbs at the time so its not like i was particuarly small.

From what i understand i think these pumps either work or not. I cant say that i have heard of one thats so weak that it wont work really

Agree. I think at worst it might just need more rpm to attain rated output.

If fluid is leaking out of the new valve and it sounds like the pump is straining, that sounds like a pressure restriction somewhere. Maybe open fittings at various points to see if there is pressure where there shouldn't be. But take safety precautions, fluid under pressure is serious.
