I remember back in 79 or 80 while in high school my friends and I were always working on our cars trying to make them faster. Well I got the bright idea to take the throttle plates off the carb and when I started it went straight to full throttle and thought I would blow the engine before being able to shut it off.
I remember, barely, when tuning up my car with my buddy (which we did pretty much daily)... somehow shocking myself with a screwdriver bridging the coil. I felt the jolt go up one arm, across my chest, and out the other. I went down like a sack of potatoes. I honestly thought I killed myself.

I put an electric fence around my garden. I tilled a nice 18" path around the outside edge of the garden to get a nice foot to dirt contact area for the animals. Then, of course, I had to test it. I touched it fast once. Nothing. So I touched it a little longer. Nothing. I knew it was a pulse unit, so I touched it long time. Felt little tine ticks in my finger tips. Tick. Tick. Tick.

Well, that's not impressive. So I kicked off one of my flip-flops and put my bare foot in the freshly tilled dirt and BZZZTT!! WOW!! :eek:

Felt that go right up my right hand, arm, across my torso and down my left leg through my bare foot! :eek:

I bet I jumped a foot off the ground. Then I looked around to see if any of the neighbors saw me. :laughing:

HA Ha -when i was about 10 i was crossing a wood 4 board fence that kept the horses in.

I had forgotten my parents had installed an electric fence wire on the second boards top surface- because the horses were pawing sticking their feet through.

got almost half way through and wham- also the boards were so close together i was basically stuck, keeping me from getting past center.
It completely paralyzed me and I could only move between the pulses got hit 2 more times before getting back to the side where I started.

looked closely before crossing any fence after that.:laughing:

We are in the process of remodeling our house. Just got the living room done and added a barn door to access what will later become the office. I decided to hang the surround speakers up so we could watch a movie in the new living room. I later go to open the barn door and knocked the speaker off the wall. Apparently I forgot where that barn door goes when it opens...

a few years ago i came home from work and a storm was moving in. i noticed a piece of metal roofing had come loose on the old tobacco barn and was flopping in the wind. i decided i needed to get it repaired before the storm hit and blew more roof off. got my extension ladder, hammer, and nails and went to make repairs. just as i finished a gust of wind hit and blew my ladder down. no one around but me. phone in the truck. too high to jump. storm coming in. i got aggravated and threw my hammer off. a few seconds later i realized if i had my hammer i could pull a piece of roofing loose and climb down the framework inside the barn!!
