My father built several 100' long, low retaining walls and about 90' of stairs with broken sidewalk. I had to haul my share of that by hand as a kid.

Thanks! We had to hand load (grapple was on for moving big rounds for another part of the "crew") and kept increasing the amount till I couldn't lift it very well. There is 1200# concrete counterweight on the back..... Still took several loads.Yeowzers! That's impressive!

My little machine only weighs about 1500# total. It has about an 800# lift capacity. I load it with stuff like that until the rear tires come off the ground, then take out a couple and it sits back down. :laughing: It's articulated, so if I then turn the steering wheel, it makes the unit shorter, the center of gravity shifts, and the rears come off the ground again. Straighten out the wheel and it goes back to all fours. Fun with gravity! :laughing:

It's nice to have a bit extra *** now and then. Most people I know have smaller tractors. They'll do it, but every now and then.....

"Those hills" is certainly an exaggeration. Ever so slightly incline, perhaps.
Sure, rops up. Then I'd probably have to wear my seatbelt too. Shouldn't have speed on the way over, either.. my pucker factor was a 1 at the very very most, where 10 is "aww *****". Should have expected that one..
My dad has an L3710 and mine is an L3940. His fits in the garage (8' doors) rops up. Mine doesn't. Lame.... As such, his has never been down. Mine has never been up....

One of the reasons I don't own a bigger tractor. My ROPS is now more-or-less permanently up, since I added limb-risers and FOPS to it. The only way to get the ROPS back down is to remove that stuff. It's do-able, since it was designed with "easy" removal in mind, but THat just isn't happening
