Well, it is raining cats and dogs here today so no snow moving for a while. My babies are sitting nice and cozy in the garage waiting for the next snow storm.

This is the first year I can recall that I have not had to clear snow yet. We typically get 135” a year. I was going to get a 3pt blower to augment the plow truck but decided to wait as funds are short.

I have blown /plowed my driveway 3 times already this year only because of these little snowstorms of 3 inches at a time. Snow, rain, snow, rain etc just enough to drive you crazy lol. Today it is raining and it will be mild all weekend with no snow expected till maybe after Xmas.

We've had very little snow either. Only "had to" clear my driveway once so far, and really that was just for "fun". Only a few inches that drifted a bit over 6" in spots. Been a strange winter for us so far, really warm and no snow.

Our place is a vacation house so a contractor usually plows our 700’ driveway. So we use the FEL with Edge Tamers for cleanup and plowing when he is away.

The tractor has R4 which are not great in snow. We grooved them, which helped some, but it would have been smarter to put studs in.

So this season we bought Ofa Eko [studded] chains for the rear, and ATV diamond studded chains for the front. Made a HUGE difference in how much snow we can push, and traction in the woods.

don't be shy in getting your wife behind the wheel, she will enjoy it as well. see pics different tractors... same wife

I need to teach my wife on how to use my tractor. It would come in very handy at times. My daughter is capable of using my tractor.

Well I used my sander today to spread some ashes, had two full cans of coal ash and 1/2 inch of sleet and slop.

Coal ash is not a good thing to be spreading around your property. You should find a place way out of the way to dispose of it away from people, animals and water.

It must be louder than **** in there cause I had a soft cab on my Kioti ( like in the pic ) and it was loud, cold and foggy but better than nothing. Keeps the snow off you especially if you have a front snowblower like I did.

I wonder if one of those would fit on my NX4510? Where did you find this one?

Well I don't see the problem with it. It is dry ash, it does not have scrubber liquids. All the horror stories are from large impoundments that have breached or leaked.
Most everyone that I know that burns wood or coal use the ash for driveway traction or in gardens.
The web is full of stories of the "huge" dangers of everything, heck it's hazardous to wake up in the morning you might die while awake in the same vien you had not better go to sleep you could die in your sleep.
And on top of that its "organic" so how can that be bad for you.
Moderation is the key to many things, to little is bad and to much is bad.

I spread wood ashes on my property also. I personally would not spread coal ashes on it. This information here Coal Ash Facts provides important facts about coal ash including generation, handling, safety, environmental concerns and its many beneficial uses. is a lot different than what I read back in 2004 when I moved a coal ash pile on a 1750's farmstead. I moved it to the farthest spot on the property away from everything.

Thanks for the link. Is it easy on/easy off if you want to remove it?

It's a $60 golf cart "cab". Works great i just put it on for the winter this is the second winter for it. The front windshield is kind of hard to see out of during the daylight from being wrinkly but at night its not a problem. But im putting a plexiglass frot window in for this winter. For 90 bucks total I can't complain.

looks interesting and surely very cheap to keep the wind and snow off of you.

I never took mine off the whole time I had it. The doors are slidable or you can fold and hook them inside the cab. Most of it is velcro sticky tape that is on the outer fenders. Should not be a big job to take off if needed. Hope this helps.
