Neighbors Dogs Running Loose

No keyboard warrior here either, but harming my dog would definitely bring out the worst in me.

He is a big lovable goofy dog, but half the people that see him in the yard are scared of his size, and the other half try to coax him out onto the road to pet him.
He is much too lazy to go looking for trouble.

Pretty much the same topic came up last year in 3 different threads with a total of 572 replies.

Bottom line, as much as we claim how people who live in the country are "better" than those who live in the city, we come up with the same results... no matter where you live, there is a certain amount of people in the area who are total dumasses.

There is an old Pennsylvania Dutch saying, " Everyone in the world is a bit strange, but me and thee, and sometimes I wonder about thee " ...

Agreed... someone harmed my little girls, and life as they know it would be over....

Harming my dog off my property, my dog is my responsibilty, and a court of law will handle and disagreements between me, you and my dog.

Harm my dog ON my property, and I'm in fear for my life and will treat you (the transgressor) as a threat to my own life.

I lost my friend and neighbor recently. The man drowned while on vacation. My biggest worry about getting new neighbors IS the dog issue. Not much else. Their rescue Sheppard never barked and we would enjoy the visit of the dog unexpectedly now and then.

I have very little stray dog problems here, I keep MY animals home and I expect YOU to do the same.

IF you shoot my dog at your place, I should have kept him home!

IF I shoot your dog at my place, you should have kept it home! Problem solved!!

And YES I DO live by that, and don't come crying and whining or threating to me!...

It's when you come to my house and shoot at my dog as one poster stated, that we have a problem. I don't care if it's a bb gun or a howitzer; you cannot rationalize that no matter how you try to spin it.
