That is a real concern, when a person gets hurt the insurance companies are looking for the land owner for compensation so they are not held paying the medical bills.
Our country friends had a deck that collapsed and friends got hurt, no one sued but the insurance companies sure did. If you did not want them to sue then be ready to pay you own hospital bill. One bill was hundreds of thousands of dollars for an elderly lady who broke a leg with a long hospital stay and several surgeries. That's why you need a Umbrella policy.
The cute signs don't get it when someone gets injured and insurance companies come after you.
