Maybe it's the family he wants to keep out, lol

I grew up where people were social, and people just stopped by to visit and you didnt mind. Not everyone is like that.

Society and people are just weird. Like no one knows what humans look like nekid! You can wear a swim suit to the beach but answer the door in your underware and it's it's a BIG DEAL. Sorry, I have a problem with all that weird programming.

We as a species probably have more important stuff to work out than spend TIME and energy on stupid matters.

No, they are inaccurate due to the government changing road numbers two or three times and the mapping databases not keeping up with the changes.

I keep a red monster truck icon on my GPS. I like driving on new highways that aren't on the GPS yet. Makes the truck look like it's off-roading. Keeps making sharp turns and telling me to return to the route!

There's a difference between trespassers (strangers trespassing) vs family and friends. This thread is about trespassers.

Of course, family and friends are going to know you're tolerance for visiting just as mine are. They're always welcome to visit. Trespassers aren't.

I don't know why this is so hard to understand.

Here's the quote:
"In my entire life, including living at home as a child not once has someone came unannounced that my family or me wanted to see."

That, to me, means exactly what it says....

Grandma, what are you doing here?

That's not how some here are portraying things. Here's a quote:

If that doesn't include family, friends and neighbors then it wasn't worded well.

OP,

You should handle it the same way Robert Duvall and Michael Caine handle it in the movie Second Hand Lions. Complete with the signs you drive by, and sitting on your front porch with a shotgun. Make sure you shoot at anyone that gets out of their car.
That is the movies.

Here is the reality in 21st century America: the Ward Bird case.

NEW HAMPSHIRE v. WARD BIRD: A MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE : PART I: THE FACTS OF THE CASE

He was released after a review found his accuser “Not credible.” She was sent to jail for animal cruelty in 2011.

GPS resolution available to the public is not the same as mapping companies not keeping up with road number and naming changes. GPS works out in the woods or desert or on water where there are no roads.

That's a risk you take and is easy to work around. Heck, unless it is bed time I'm never running around the house in a state where I'd be unwilling to answer the door. I would never expect complete privacy when outdoors even if I lived very remotely. Just think how great the gov's spy satellites are!! :)

One of the other LS owners has a line in their signature to the effect of 'never do anything you can't explain to the paramedic' which could be changed to 'never wear anything you don't want the paramedic to see you in'.

The statement is exactly fine. I can't ever recall anyone ever showing up unannounced that I wanted to see at that moment and that includes neighbors, relatives and other acquaintances.

True, but even 10 foot resolution should be plenty to find houses and roads, it's not like you need sub-inch resolution to find a house when the house has 50 to 100 feet of road frontage.
