You aren't speaking German or Japanese are you?

And what does that have to do with answering a person whose apparent vast experience seems to be tractors is Bigbox lawn tractor and is bad mouthing a very large segment of CUT tractors?

I guess my thought is, why step up to the L4060 and pay and extra $10k, instead of just getting an LS or TYM.

It seems most of the comments here are heavily skewed towards Kubota, probably with good reason. However, it takes a reasonably high degree of mental gymanstics for me to justify moving up to a larger tractor, and paying upwards of $40k, when a $30k LS or $26k TYM accomplishes the same thing.

Is a Kubota really worth paying 50%+ more?!?!?

The MSRP difference between an L3560 with the lighter loader and L4060 with the better loader is 4K. So you get better power for the weight and a much better loader. And higher resale.

Same goes for the LS or whatever 斗esser known brand. Look at total cost with resale.

I'm looking at an L3560 and the L4060 is $6,000 more when configured the same on the Kubota site. That is for both with the cab and both configured with the same 805 loader. Just don't think the 5 hp is worth that for my purposes. Granted the 4060 is a bit bigger also. But that is a negative for me. Waiting for a 3560 to get in at my dealer. I am at sea level so no altitude penalty and no snow or hills either.

My brother had 300,000 miles on his Hyundai when he got rid of it with very few issues.

There are snobs in every market place

Remember, the quote I got is on the L3560 limited edition, which is about $2.5k less than the straight L3560. That makes stepping up to an L4060 about $42k'ish, as compared to the $31.5k for the comparable LS.

Resale is not much of a consideration for me. I have no plans to ever sell the tractor I purchase.

If the LS does what you need, buy it and spend the rest on implements.

For clarification, the L3560 I am looking at and mentioned above was also the LE. Explains the 6k vs 4k difference.

Don't lump SK in with those others. The Koreans make the best cell phones and TV's in the world, and have for a while now. They are superb engineers.

... especially after Apple showed them how.
