An easier way to refuel your tractor

/ An easier way to refuel your tractor #261
I bought one of these about 5 months ago.

The thing worked like a champ, draining a fuel can QUICK! No more spills or funnels. A few days ago, went out to fuel the tractor, plugged it into the extension cord, flipped the switch and nothing. Spent $70 for a pump that worked a handful of times. Do not recommend this pump.

I need a better one, one that will keep working for a while longer than 5 months.

The pump you showed in post#260 was the one I was talking about. Thanks for your patience.

Bought a cheapie Chinee ac only barrel pump. basically a hand drill on a stem to fit the barrel. Uses a one inch discharge hose, pumped great so far one time. Will see how many uses before it expires.

I've had the same one Avenger shows for quite some time now. Has worked flawlessly each and every time I've used it. The only con I've experienced is it is somewhat difficult to coil back up when done. I'm still experimenting on ways to improve that though. I'd buy another if needed because it works so well.

We have an old utility trailer with a 150 gallon transfer tank, 12 volt transfer pump and a long hose that you see in a lot of pickups. I have a deep cycle 12 volt batter with solar panel and regulator to keep the battery charged. South Texas so lack of sun shine to charge the battery isnt an issue. The trailer is mobile so we can buy the cheapest fuel around and move the trailer to whatever portion of the ranch that we have equipment running. Tool box on the trailer for oil, grease gun and assorted tools. Works well for us.

The last one was a blue heron on my dock. This one is a bald eagle taking off. He* was having lunch of some sort on the railing prior to taking flight. I only have my phone to take pictures with so the pictures are quite grainy.

*considering the size it might have been a she. Females are larger than males in bald eagles.

Going way off topic here but this is why I will never leave this area. Now that we are in the 'R' months, time to start gathering oysters of my beach for my health! :cool2: :drink:

The 'business end' of that pump looks just like the one HF sells for 10 bucks and now you have me wondering if I can take a plug in power supply and add a USB plug to mine and make it '110 volt' compatible. The HF pumps are pretty hard on batteries.
