Are your views to the South with timber to the North?

Very nice views. We can see 10 miles to the South.

19970131 -Friday, took off work to work on walls.

My buddy Hutch helped for 2nd time.
We stood 2 back sections, right side, and 1 front section. Pic before standing, note 2x4 hanging along foundation is a brace nailed to edge of wall section to brace once raised.

Very nice views. We can see 10 miles to the South.

The tree pic is southeast, is only a treeline along a gravel road ( one of only about 3 or 4 gravel roads in the county). Open fields on the other side of the trees. The closer trees in that picture are a cluster that grew around some rocks sticking out of the ground. Was full of multiflora roses. Now a flowerbed.

Driveway is north on the paved road. Across was a 22 acre corn field, now has 2 houses. The large elm tree across the road died and is now gone.

This land was subdivided off a parcel that was tract 12 on the tax maps, one of the original land tracts. The old farmhouse originally had a mill next to it. Part of the mill race is on my property.
My neighbor that built next to me now owns the old farmhouse which is on the other side of his house (lady we bought from lived there, was her dad farm).

Sounds like a great area to live in. I really like your views. Our longest view can be seen from my recliner in the living room. Also from the front porch. I check it out every morning over a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee. Watch the wildlife wake up. Good for the Soul.

Good job on the walls. Like the size of your windows!!

Windows are Anderson. Most downstairs are 3052, 3 ft wide, 5’2” tall. Upstairs mostly 3046.

Kitchen has casement window over the sink.

Buckeye, how do remeber all those details? Wife and I were GC on our previous house, built in 1985. Stepson did framing, he hired journeyman carpenters to help, mostly on weekends. 1 story ranch on crawlspace, about 2400 sq ft. I can't remember things like stud length, window numbers (all Anderson crank outs). Walls were all one piece.

I was wondering this too. I try to clean up my pictures of jobs I've done on Facebook a few times a year and get them organized so clients can find them, and there are always a few that I just have no memory of doing. And that's all from last year!!!
