Buckeye, how do remeber all those details? Wife and I were GC on our previous house, built in 1985. Stepson did framing, he hired journeyman carpenters to help, mostly on weekends. 1 story ranch on crawlspace, about 2400 sq ft. I can't remember things like stud length, window numbers (all Anderson crank outs). Walls were all one piece.

I kept a diary. I used to keep a pocket calendar for years.

All window sizes are on CAD drawings I posted earlier, but I still remember the 2 basic sizes I used the most.

Sounds like a great area to live in. I really like your views. Our longest view can be seen from my recliner in the living room. Also from the front porch. I check it out every morning over a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee. Watch the wildlife wake up. Good for the Soul.

Good job on the walls. Like the size of your windows!!

I can sit on my couch and look out the bay window looking south. See deer and other critters all the time. I love sitting on the front and side porch also. Have a glider facing north and swing facing east.

I also have my costs in quicken, back to the early 90s. While it takes time to put data in quicken, it has helped me many times to find receipts, or who and how much I paid for things.
All my house receipts are in envelopes per month. I should look and see how many are still readable. I did catagorize like electric, plumbing, paint, etc.

I love em. We are Blessed to not have any neighbors that can see our house. We have no curtains or blinds. Excellent views three directions. Fourth direction faces the shop.

I wanted to be able to see out when sitting.
When my dad built his house in 1960, my uncle talked him into higher windows that you can sit something in front of. Never liked them. They are ok in some rooms, but not others.
Also dads are aluminum frame sliding windows that sweat real bad.
I stained the inside of the windows and all trim.

When my feet touch the floor in the morning I can see out a very large window to the South and a slightly smaller window to the East overlooking one of our ponds. All while sitting on the bed. :)

Master bedroom is east half of the 2nd floor, I got windows North, South and East.
I had a window up also, ie skylight over the bed. Wife hated it, I loved it. It eventually leaked, so when I reroofed after hail damage I took it out.

Neighbor house sits close to the west side.
