These new engines concern me more with direct injection, tighter tolerances, etc. I used to run Castrol 10w-30 in my 94 Chevy with a 4.3, changed it every 3-4k miles. Sold it with over 100k miles and did not use a drop of oil. These new engines seem to use some every oil change *.
