One of the downsides to building a house and working a full time job, is how little time remains for other things. Trying to wdit together a video and then pist something about the build
Progression can be challenging, at the very least. Lately, there seems to be more delay than normal. It can be frustrating for me. But, I know that I need
To put
Forth the effort on these things to keep my wife invested in this project. I am hoping that this coming weekend doesn’t bring bad weather.

I know the feeling ! I am building an addition to our home and with all the rain over the last 2 months it is a slow process. Also having 26 acres and with spring here i have many other chores that need attention. Thats why i gave into the wife on a barn i wanted to build. I let Morton build it for me...6 days and it was done. Had it been me building...who knows !!!

I started to say the rough-in is the fast part. But I'm not so sure if using this build method.

It doesn't sound like you are physically wearing down. More so that you are mentally wearing down. That's much harder to fix.

Hang in there, we are all supporting you if that helps!!!!

For what it's worth, I do enjoy skimming through your video's and seeing what's involved in building a house with SIPS

Me too.

How heavy are those SIP panels compared to a standard 2x6 framed and sheathed wall of similar size? It just seems like a whole lot of machine work for something that would be put up by hand a lot faster and less swinging around and fighting the wind.

Took me 9 months to build my house, a year to build my pole barn. It’s tough finding time sometimes.

Ha! This July will be 7 years for me, and not done yet. All major items are complete, but I still have like 19 doors to make, and a ton of trim left. Plus the laundry room cabinets and sink... and the master closet built-ins... and the mudroom built-ins...

Fair warning - the work gets much slower the farther in you get. Finish work takes a lot more time than rough work.

But hey, I just finished the stairs last month - that only took 7 months for all the woodwork and railings...
