I have a Kubota MX 5000 with loader and backhoe. I have had a couple of hydraulic hose failures that I have been lucky enough to catch before losing more than a couple of gallons of fluid. My fear is that I will blow a hose where it is not obvious and empty my hydraulic system. My tractor's hydraulic fluid reservoir is the transmission casing. Losing fluid to my loader or backhoe would be an inconvenience but emptying out my transmission casing could cause severe damage (I imagine) to my transmission. Is the design such that the hydraulic pump will lose it's suction before my transmission casing is emptied? Any information would be appreciated.
