'Nuther thing I forgot to mention - depending on the type of sensor your manometer uses, it may be POSITION sensitive - so don't move it (especially to change its "attitude") once you start. Make sure it reads ZERO with NO connection, NOT doing this can mess you up at low (sub-1PSI) pressures. You can check for this, just lay it flat on a table and check zero, then move it vertical.

If it changes, re-read my FIRST sentence .. Steve

Peter, Peter, was about to buy you a chicken dinner!

Some progress but not there. I bumped up the pressure at the tank regulator. I got it to fire and and the igniter stopped and it kept burning. Fan came on but it didn't last long. Bumped the tank pressure up some more... at around 13.5 now. It seems to be short cycling. Think I need to go back and check the manifold pressure now.

Never thought I would use one manometer. Right now it would be convenient to have two. :confused2:

Hang in there guys... if you don't hear from me tonight.... watch the news. At least it will be a 'pleasant' break from the Virus reporting.

Well I am still here... no progress. Haven't been able to repeat the one firing where is stayed on past the igniter.

Yes I did the conversion. Swapped out the orifice and also changed the spring and set screw where you adjust the outlet pressure.

At work we always added barbed shutoff valves to all test points, made it really easy to troubleshoot. Prior to the digital manometers I built a small manifold with 4 different range magnehelics, just open the valves to the one you needed. With several HUNDRED NG burners and various baghouses/cyclones in the plant, no single differential gauge would cover from 2" WC up to 30 PSI (830" WC)

Wouldn't be worth it for a 1 time setup tho... Steve
