My Kioti CK2610 with 66" bucket is being prepped, so this is good time to start the shopping.

I know I want a toothbar, so far the leading players are BX piranha and EA wicked. My biggest concern is will either of these let me use a bucket spade and/or bolt on forks with the toothbar attached. I suspect once I put on the tooth bar, it will be on there 99% of the time. It would be nice to have a compatible bucket spade and compatible bucket forks to keep the unbolting to a minimum.

So, anyone running forks or a simple bucket spade with toothbar attached? Any negatives/issues? What brand make do you use for the spade and forks? I did not see a small bolt on spade on the BX o the EA website. I will also need to ship all this to Ontario, Canada, so it would be nice to find everything under the same roof.

I have the PTB and clamp on titan short forks. The depth of the clamp on these is pushed out a bit with the PTB on. I think the longer forks have a longer clamp and would work fine. Been happy with the PTB so far for breaking up rocky soil which stopped my tractor dead with the straight edge only. The EA looks pretty nice, I'm sure others must have one and could comment.
MFGC1720K.jpgThis is how it looks on my 48" bucket. Easy to measure, drill, install. I might take it off to move my 600 pound bar, but I left it on to move/lift lots of wood rounds and smaller trunks with the short forks.

A bucket spade has to be tight against the bucket for support. A bucket spade is under much greater strain than a toothbar due to its length and concomitant leverage. Buy one of the shorter bucket spades in the marketplace for your CK2610.

I am almost 100% sure you would have to remove either toothbar in order to securely mount a bucket spade.

I would get the tooth bar, and a set of 42" QA pallet forks . I do quite a bit of digging and popping out saplings with the forks, just push the forks as close together as you can. I also built a small spade that slips over the end of the forks.

I really like that idea. One less attachment, narrow width ensures maximum ground pressure. I'd even go a little silly on the pallet fork grade, given the potential abuse. Someone has to make that "sleeve" spade you refer to? I figure if you took the time to fabricate it, you probably are not the only one with this use case...

Most Bucket Spades are designed to clamp securely on FEL bucket OR attach to Pallet Forks. PHOTO

Attached to Pallet Forks, leverage works against tractor more than direct bucket attachment.

LS 4041 weighs 3,800 pounds bare tractor weight.

Kioti CK2610 weighs 2,650 pounds bare tractor weight.

Buy one of the shorter bucket spades in the marketplace for your CK2610.

Thanks Jeff, will certainly look into those, decent pricing too. It's not like I'm going to wear these attachments out, so not overpaying for those once in a blue moon attachments is important. A bit worried about shipping to Canada, I have had some US vendors in the past tell me they don't ship overseas :)

Clamp on pallet forks are better than nothing... but bite the bullet and get a SSQA pallet fork. Paid $500 for a set from MTL.

Unfortunately you usually end up with a much lower selection (usually nothing, or some clown selling for 3X the price). I would usually just get things shipped to my PO box in Michigan, but with zombies roaming the earth, this will be more difficult.

These guys are probably my best bet, shipping wise.TRACTOR IMPLEMENTS, VALUE PRICES SHELBURNE, ONTARIO, CANADA. 519-925-2258 OR 8-826-:eek:5 - Home. Although that serrated QA tree spade is definitely too big for my tractor. Good point on going SSQA for the forks, may be worth saving the hassle of Jerry rigging bolt on forks with the tooth bar attached. Double whammy if I end up using the forks as light duty spade extensions...

Almost everyone agrees, SSQA Pallet Forks will be one of your most valuable & used attachments.

The answer to your question as to whether or not a bucket spade will work with a tooth bar is - no & yes.

I recently bought a bucket spade and attempted to mount leaving either my heavy duty tooth bar or my Piranha tooth bar. The shovel would not slide over the thickness of the heavy duty tooth bar. So I mounted my Piranha tooth bar and discovered the braces on top of the PTB prevented the shovel from sitting down solid. I simply took my grinder and cut two slots for the shovel to sit flat. The slots did not seem to effect the stability of the shovel at all. After all, my shovel is very heavy, i.e. 87 pounds!

So, in new received form the shovel will not fit, but with minor mods, you're in business.

Thanks Gem99ultra, slick mod.

Is anyone running a wicked toothbar or piranha toothbar with the R2 edge tamers? Specifically looking for people with the wicked toothbar. I have seen people with the piranha toothbar and edge tamers, looks like a nice combo to shear off vegetation right a ground level, without scraping everything off. The little extensions you can buy for the R2 edge tamers also look slick, if a bit flimsy.

Wicked tooth bar looks even better for this application, but I don't know if the edge tamers would fit, or if I can get passed the 435USD list price.

I don't have a tooth bar, but I do have the Edge Tamers. Here's a pic you can zoom in on to see how they look bolted to a regular bucket edge. Maybe that will give you an idea if they'll work for you.

I'm not sure they will?

But here's another thought (it's fun to spend other people's money). Go with a separate SSQA attachment for pallet forks and front spade:

https://www.artillian.com/products/pallet-fork-frames-forks/

These guys sell a frame, which you can put forks on, or a separate spade attachment. They also sell a grapple that goes on the same base frame.

Then you can just leave whatever tooth bar you get on the bucket all the time.
