Neighbor dog on my property harassing wildlife

I wanted a dog for 20 years before I finally felt that I could properly care for one. After she was gone I waited another year because I was travelling a lot and didn't have time to train one. I have little tolerance for people who get an animal they can't take care of.
I also never had kids for the same reason...

I had a neighbor that let her dogs out late at night and they decided my lawn was just the spot for potty time. I got some manure [you can buy bagged "steer manure" at HD if you don't have a nearby farm] and spread it around my yard. The dogs loved it -- they rolled in it and even ate some. After dealing with smelly dogs late at night, the problem was soon stopped. And the lawn looked great.

When I was a kid, we didn't have a dog at the time and the neighbors dog always went in our yard, seeing it was my job to mow the lawn I had to deal with it. After stepping in it and running through it a few times I decided to pick it up before mowing. Then I deposited it ALL on their front porch! After a couple times of doing that they got the picture and took care of the problem!

They are not!! They are not allowed to run freely ANYWHERE as far as I'm concerned! Those dog hunters always throw out that "well dogs cant read signs" thing so they think its ok to them for them to cross over posted boundaries. NOT my posted boundaries!!

I used to get coon hunters with their dogs on my property behind my house at night. Let off a quick 20 or 30 rounds (in a safe direction of course) and generally speaking, they'll never be back. The reality is in my area, peoeple shoot at all times during the day and night.

The assumption is when you're on private property and you didn't ask permission to be on that property, expect a not so warm welcome. You need to plan your hunt accordingly IMO, particularly when a group of dogs are barking.

My neighbor hunts on my land. He asked me. Ironically enough, we have a pretty good relationship.

My father had issues with the neighbor dogs and after a number of failed attempts to get the owners to solve it he solved it.

Laxative. The dogs were brought in the house at night so feeding them laxative would provide a nice mess for the owner without harming the dogs. They did figure it out and confronted my dad. He told them at least you will know they were on my porch 4 hours earlier even though you think that never happens.

My brother was loosing little white candy's out of his lunch pail a work all the time, so he replaced them with Exlax and they were stolen too. A little later a guy had to go home with the chits, and my brother told everyone there, what he had in his lunch pail. He never lost any candy again, after that.
