any toro groundsmaster fans on here?

They sometimes scuff in sharp turns with the eliminator kit... though I might put one on the 325 after I rob the clutch.

I’m going to look at my first 328 soon with 3800 hours on it. It has been maintained by the local toro dealer. Are there differences between the 325/322 and 328 other than the Kubota engine? I know what to look for on the older models, but have never seen a 328. During the inspection is there anything particular I should look at? Thanks for the help.

No major differences that I can think of, the float latch on the lift valve was mentioned in post #885. A minor difference is the steering cylinder is mounted behind the axle. And a different air cleaner assembly.

Thank you. Should be straightforward then. I did notice in the operators manual they recommend hydraulic fluid in the transaxle. Do they use a different pump then the 325/322?

From looking at the parts lists, the early models are the same, later models different. You need the 5 digit model number and serial number to find out.

Anyone have experience with the gigantic groundsmaster batwing mowers? It takes me about 6 hours to mow all my grass with a 325d. Starting to look at a bigger mower, but hadn’t seen much about them.

From what I understand, a 1998 4wd power unit with Guardian Recycler deck sold for between $24-26k. Obviously deck options will change the price.

In order from least to most expensive:

Least #1- 72" side discharge
#2- 72" rear discharge
#3- 72" Guardian Recycler (mulching deck)
#4- 60" flail deck

Note: if purchased with a new unit, the 72" rear discharge included a discharge guard (similar to a skid plate) which mounted beneath the front of the traction unit and kept clippings from piling up around the axle and driveline. If you bought it afterward, the plate was a separate purchase.
