Thought I’d share some random notes on the build in case any one else might consider. If anything sparks an interest I can detail more, may even have a pic.
The EZGO top is near perfect fit for this tractor. The Club Car, not so much. I did use Rustoleum Plastic primer 209460, 3 cans. The finish was Rustoleum from HD labelled as being ok for plastic, 4 cans.
I went with aluminum tube, 1/8 thick as I think it is sufficiently strong but light. I did not want to make tractor more top heavy. I also kept total height down for access. Need to double check but think it tops out at 94”.
The 1x1 tube is nice fit for the molded area that uses the EZGO frame. I bolted that to the 1 1/2x2 tube I used for my top cross members.
1 1/2x2 tube also a tight fit inside the ROPS. I put a round of tape for sound attenuation. I matched holes with ROPS and used the Pins from ROPS.
1 1/2x2 tube is also good fit for the front mounts. I used the factory mounts that I guess LS uses for cab. These come ready to accept 2 M8 bolts

I added a threaded hole for 1/4 bolt on the wide face.
These 2 threaded holes and 1 for running wire are only permanent mods I made to tractor so far.

All my wiring is run in the aluminum tubing, a bit of a challenge especially the video connectors.
Wires terminate in a 4x4x2 box from HD

The 2 lower cross members are more for mounting than support although they do insure proper width. A lapse in planning. When I redesigned frame to accept the EZGO top I moved the 1 1/2x2 lower front crossmember to the top and replaced with 11/4x11/4 tube as that’s what I had on hand. Big mistake ad it made for a very tight wire run, especially with the 7/16 all thread used to hold together. I had used all thread as means to keep together but found I had to remove as it interfered. The cross member joints were aluminum welded. Welding is not one of my “skills” while 3 of the 4 joints appeared OK, just 1 was not one I wanted to trust especially with the all thread removed. I made aluminum gussets for each side secured with #12 self drilling screws (left over from my carport build.
