Danger, when Mohammad reopens a thread, unless I am careful, I surely will stick my foot in my mouth

Thread reopened for constructive feedback.
I'm on the fence regarding the addition and use of 'like' 'dislike' buttons not wanting it to becoming a popularity contest.

Personally I would use them on occasion, even responding with a 'like' to an opinion differing my own if it was logically argued.

I choose what to read or not and to reply to or not. I get a little worked up at times from the usual pot stirrers but I get over it and continue on. Everyone has an opinion and that is fine. No need for more censorship.

I think the Like feature is doing just fine over on the Welding forum. And it's not a popularity contest at all like some were so afraid off on other feedback threads.

Like Doofy - I can choose what to read. The remainder will just fall by the wayside.

This morning there are 122 members and 3 thousand visitors. I read Rural Living for the varied subject related to what others are doing and sometimes submit an answer.
But lately, seemingly everybody is walking around with there hackels raised. so just reading.
Thanks, Mohamed for what you are doing with tractorbynet. sometimes what is planned just doesn't become what is happening.

I also do the same. It gets rather frustrating though when a long-running thread with many contributors is taken over by a few who just want to snipe at each other.
The "Getting Older" thread is a fine example, and the "pictures of towing wrong" in the Transportation forum is getting to be that way.

It's one thing to express an opinion but not everybody is going to agree with you, so why can't people make their point and leave it at that?

Thanks to our fearless leader for reopening this thread.

IMHO a thread goes to s__ when people parrot political rhetoric not the least bit relevant to its title or topic.

I applaud Muhammad and our mods for allowing tractor brands to remain non-partisan in spite of their adherents.

btw, I forgive members for buying whichever color tractor appeals to them.

Post ratings?

Not sure about "reporting" posters? Is that done to the mods via PM? And what is the determining factor(s) for removal or banishment?

I am trying to understand what you have that is available to work with.
