For us Ford fans, Ford will release their F150 electric in 2022.
very interesting. Thanks. I do like the camp mode idea. The HVAC is independent of the drive system. Tesla has a 田amp mode for deliberately leaving the HVAC system running all night while one sleeps in the car. This is observed to draw 1-1.5 kW. To compare a Model 3 draws 0.260 kWh/mile. So an hour of idling is about 5 miles of range.

actually i was not. Someone commented about the ridiculous price to replace batteries. You commented back that its no different than replacing an engine every 10 years...at least thats what i got out of it. You basically have 3 years left of your warranty on battery. When those go they go fast. You may not need a new battery system in 3 years, who knows. But if you do its going to be spendy. Electric cars will fit alot of peoples situations just fine. Not mine. I tow a 30 foot horse trailer with a 1 ton truck. Im not about to spend a small fortune on a big rig electric vehicle. If i lived in a city and drove to work, food and home i would probably love an electric vehicle. You are deliberately not reading what I wrote but what you want to see.
Now, for you electric vehicle owners , heres a question that i have always wanted to know. It doesnt apply where i live, but when i lived in Southern California, i would be stuck in traffic jams more times than not. Sometimes crawling a few miles in an hour in 100 degree miserable heat. This is the main reason i moved in 1993. I know that the electric vehicles are designed with city driving in mind. How do they handle this. Does ac keep operating? Can they run out of power after so many hours at standstill? How do you recharge in middle of freeway? Just wondering.
Cool! I like their 600 HP four motor F-150 that they showed off at a trade event in 2014.
