I used it once. Didn’t need a key, and I watched how they started it. Lol

Older CAT equipment all use the same key. Or a piece of baling wire bent into a U shape. :)

I can run a dozer but I'm by no means an operator. :)

Insulator didn’t show.
Passed final building inspection , contingent on basement being insulated ( call them when done)
Got my Use and Occupancy. All done as far as permitting is concerned.

After work, work on boiler controls.

Basement insulated
Wife cleaned the house

After work, settlement that converted the construction loan to a mortgage.

House is done according to the paperwork. But still not done. Lol

Ate at Olive Garden to celebrate.

Almost 10 months total. Foundation was dug after Christmas in 1996. Footers started Jan 3rd.

Thanks for following along.

I still have a few items to add.

In the end a 2700 sf house plus full basement on 5 acres for not much more than what I sold a smaller 3 level split on .7 acres.

I will follow with my garage addition, and then the geothermal install. I don’t have detailed notes for those, so will go by pics and not day to day. Garage build took much longer.

Thanks, good luck on your build. I really enjoy building things, but not the bank breathing down my back to get finished.

Still got the Polaris 900? I have one, it really came in handy last fall when I couldn’t walk. I called it my motorized wheelchair.
