CDC lifts mask restrictions for those fully vaccinated

I always hear that number. Over a half million people have died from this.
If thats true why doesnt the U.S.death statistics support that. We actually saw a decline in deaths during 2020.
Not political nor tin hat thinking. Actual follow the numbers science.

"During January–December 2020, the estimated 2020 age-adjusted death rate increased for the first time since 2017, with an increase of 15.9% compared with 2019, from 715.2 to 828.7 deaths per 100,000 population. COVID-19 was the underlying or a contributing cause of 377,883 deaths (91.5 deaths per 100,000). COVID-19 death rates were highest among males, older adults, and AI/AN and Hispanic persons. The highest numbers of overall deaths and COVID-19 deaths occurred during April and December. COVID-19 was the third leading underlying cause of death in 2020, replacing suicide as one of the top 10 leading causes of death (6)."

Now that i'm fully vaccinated, i found a new use for those disposable N95 masks, and i can't believe i didn't figure it out till now. I used one when i was brush cutting tall grass. It kicks up a lot of dirt/dust and fine spray from the grass. Usually plays he77 on my asthma even though i use a dust mask. With the N95, i got no reaction! It's fantastic!

I've used a mask for dusty applications for years... ever since I woke up gasping and unable to breath, because of inhaling too much lime while spreading treated grass seed the day before. Just before the world stopped last year I had picked up some masks to use while routering property corner posts... the same blue masks which we've been wearing for the past year.

But heard today someone I know just died from COVID, they hadn’t gotten the vaccine and died within 2 weeks of getting COVID.

They're mixing metaphors. One says deaths by homicide, while you apparently searched for firearm deaths.
