The subject of food allergies brings up a tangent point about restricted diets...
Half of all America adults suffer from hypertension and less than a fourth of them have it under control...
Ever watch a cooking show by any of the celebrity chefs and cooking show hosts...they ALWAYS add salt...many times repeatedly...
I have even seen them criticize comments by viewers that complain about them (TV chefs) using too much salt...saying they know what they are doing and basically the average basic viewer is ignorant...!
In the same respect most restaurants do the same and very seldom do you ever see "reduced sodium" versions available from their kitchens...
Folks that have to or need to limit their sodium are pretty much out of luck when it comes to prepared or packaged meals etc...almost everything has salt added...yes you can find some canned goods and and some dry mix products with reduced sodium...but generally to eliminate salt completely you have to start with all fresh meat and produce etc...
IMO...there should be a law that says if you produce a video that shows someone putting salt in recipe they should be made to make a public service warning about the dangers of high blood pressure...[/RANT]
