Potential power increase for CK2610?

Shimming the pump is to set the timing. The shims only cost a few dollars. The labor takes a lot of time. I was just surprised to read that a dealer recommended shims to increase HP.
Actually they never recomended it to me they just did it. I was also told on this model kioti increased the trans pressures which is really helpful for hilly conditions.

Then your the guy i needed to talk to! I have been hesitate only because I wasnt sure. My whole reason for upgrading is more for getting a heavier machine and usable M range, most of my work is loader and snowblowing, i live on hill side down to the water and i want to keep it open in the winter. appreciate you sharing not sure if you have any pics of your hillside, mine must be about a 30% incline id say driving up
My puter won't let me on this site and i don't know how to do much with my phone. If you check my posts from
4 or 5 yrs ago there are picks of my skid trails . I belive the level shows up to 44% grade.

2610 hst goes up this hill 2000 rpm no problem
Thank you so much, great info! feeling much more confident, i only have 4 acres but i like to maintain it myself, no plow truck would be doing this road and i think the CK2610SE will do just fine. I dont need 35HP

My driveway has a section that is approximately 25% and I can pull a 72” box blade full of dirt/gravel up hill with my CT2025 (same as CK2610). I only come to a stop and bog down the engine if I hook a large rock buried in the road, in which case 35hp wouldn’t matter.

For me the hp increase may be helpful running an inverted snow blower, allowing to run faster in medium range with all the PTO demand. I haven’t had any snow deep enough to test the ability of the tractor yet and don’t know if it’s necessary once warranty is up.

Medium on the HST was too much today while going up hill (about 7 degrees or 12%) and blowing 4 - 5” of wet snow with a 60” blower. Pushing the 25hp up to 30 - 32 might be a useful amount for PTO requirements on a hilly lot.

I'd be really interested in more details on what they did to increase the power. I'd wait till my warranty is up but I'd very likely do the mod if it'll work on the Ct2025.

Any chance of you getting more specifics from your dealer? Like parts needed? Pictures?
