Kubota vs Kioti?

I should update that after I got all the extras and prices included, the Kioti is actually $4400 less than the most comparable model, the L2501. And that's with a tad more HP, more overall weight, and 800lbs more lift capacity. But the Kubota had 0% financing whereas the Kioti had 1.99%, so payment was only $30 more. That's the info for now.

literally just pointing at the tractors out in the lot--- there they are....
Has it always been that way? Of the 5 dealers I went to, only one wasn't glued to a computer. The one was out right along side the service mechanics putting tractors together. Wiped off his hands - lets go take a look at what we have. And side business it was not - been an implement dealership 80yrs. Do the rest not understand what a put off staring at a screen is for those working in sales?

When the choice is as close as you say, I wouldn't let the size of a payment influence my decision. As somebody else already mentioned, 0% is a sales gimmick. Once you decide which tractor you like best, it will be time to start shopping around for the best financing.

It appears that the choice will be made by the fact that one of the two has no stock and is not likely to for many months....

At least for the last 5 years that I know of (they have been in business a lot longer than that... like 20 years). I go to the Kubota dealer about once a year to get hydraulic fluid.... it's tough to get anyone's attention to even do that. I no longer go there unless absolutely last resort!

The JD dealer is even worse... I went in with a part number for the JD hydraulic oil dye.... the parts guy couldn't find it in the system. After I asked if they ever even heard of it, he went and got his manager..... who had a serious attitude that he was bothered. I got it online in 2 days.

If they are priced the same, then yes, absolutely. I don't have specific prices from all areas, but out here there was a difference of $6K on my SCUT, and almost $9K more for a Kubota over my LS. JD was even a greater difference.

To top if off, both the JD and Kubota dealers here, didn't care about selling me a tractor, literally just pointing at the tractors out in the lot--- there they are....
Hey if my Kubota dealer treated me like that I would not have bought there either.

The Weight, Loader Lift Capacity, SSQA, and No Goofy Treadle are big advantages for the Kioti.

All tractors fail eventually and much sooner if maintenance is neglected. It's a machine and machinery needs to be cared for.

If same price, Kubota will have better resale (if ever needed) and dealer support. If you dont care about either then pick the machine that fits you best.
This is yet an other myth that doesn’t seem to hold true around here.
It seems that when you use a percentage scale based on the actual selling price you don’t really make out any better.

Seems foolish to me on two fronts. Pay more for less up front, then have to wait for the right cool aid drinker to pay more for less when you sell and there are other choices that reflect the same savings the original purchaser of alternate brand had.

The shade of Orange definitely has an impact on resale value here in the PNW.
Kubota values are higher on the pre-owned market and appear to sell much quicker.

Surprisingly, new prices between the two brands are virtually identical.

The owner of my company is currently selling his Kioti right now. It’s been on the market for several weeks now. Very nice tractor.
