Haven't grown any in the last couple years, but next year will get a crop or two going.
Girls like garlic too. On one of our first dates, my wife and I made spaghetti sauce. We decided there wasn't enough garlic, and made a run to the store for more. The warm French bread was also loaded with garlic and butter. Years later, a third of our tomato sauce was canned with fresh hot garlic right out of the ground, washed, chopped, mashed with the whole plant, tops and all. It was the wife's idea. I cheered her on.I eat raw garlic even though the breath smell is not good.
I am old enough not to be interested in girls anyway![]()
One of the advantages of living in rural 'fly over' America. My free corn is actually something that the seed farm down the road would have to pay a disposal fee to get rid of so I do them a favor (and save them money) to use it. Far as produce goes, what little I get is chump change compared to what they sell commercially. 20 heads of cabbage or a couple dozen peppers is nothing to them. They deal with semi loads all the time. I almost got no cost sweet corn this year from them. They grew a couple acres and asked me if I wanted any and I declined. How it works out here in rural America. Everyone watches out for everyone else and I'm all good with it.Man, @5030, do you pay for anything lol. Free corn, free garlic, ?![]()
At 73, I'm still interested, just not as much however. My wife says I'm a dirty old man... I am, I admit it.I eat raw garlic even though the breath smell is not good.
