New to quick hitches

I don’t.
It took me a long time to figure that out.
After many bent set screws, replacing them with a harder grade screw, still bending them, needing a machine shop to extract them, I don’t set the bolts. I let the Pat’s pivot.

Never had a problem with screws. Just snug them up equally then screwed lock nut up so set screws would not loosen. About four years now with no adjustments needed.

Really ? Is there any adverse effect you can see? Uneven wear or ?

Yeah, thats pats. Its defiantly not the same. There are some issues I have with the Pats system that these hooks and balls solves.

Really. I let the Pats rotate side to side, not up and down. It prevents binding at the hook of the Pat’s and the pins of the implement.., as the angle normally changes when you raise and lower.
I have a 1000lb - 7’ wide mower that can put a real bind on the Pat’s hook and transfer that twisting into the set bolts if the Pat’s isn’t allowed to rotate on the lift arm balls. I’ve had no problems since I let them.

69 feeling 70 but honestly wished I had bought Pat's EH at 50 yrs of age. It works great. I have a few marks on my spreader bar. For my various attachments. Preset, back in and click on.
