Oh no, that's a rough night. You've got all my sympathies.
Good luck getting that front tire bead seated, if you can get the tire warmed up from a heater it might behave better. No idea on your pickup but with these newer ones it's often quite simple once you locate the problem. Often a wire or connection on a front axle disconnect or the transfer case actuator. We got some snow on Tuesday. Went to clear my driveway Wednesday morning and proceeded to bury the tractor to the frame. It was still dark out, cab windows were still foggy, and I missed the driveway entrance and drove (backed) right into the ditch next to the culvert. Stuck it *really* good, couldn't push my way out with the FEL. Went to get the truck to pull out the tractor and proceeded to get the truck buried in the snow also.
I should have quit there, but I didn't. After multiple attempts, and a nice neighbor, we got the truck out. While getting the tractor out (which we did-but pulled a front tire off the rim in the process) my wife proceeded to get the truck into the ditch and bury it. Friendly neighbor saw the tractor come out, and thinking "job done", he left. After getting the tractor up to the garage (to try and get the tire back on the rim), I noticed the wife wasn't moving in the truck.
Another friendly neighbor and an hour later, and we got the truck out. During that process, I noticed the front drive on the 4wd was out on the truck. Explained why it was stuck so bad. Got the truck up to the house (finally) and called it a day.
I messed with the tractor front tire yesterday and couldn't get it seated back on the rim. Tried the ratchet strap trick, but the tire is just too thick/stiff. Going to try ether tonight and see if I can pop the bead back on the rim.
I haven't even looked at the truck yet. Nothing is hanging down, and it doesn't grind when you drive it. I don't know if it's hubs, diff (probably not, no grinding) or transfer case.
Sigh. Well, that's what March has started out like. Can't wait.

Bob did you get pounded with snow with the last storms? We got 7" of wet snow. I'm going to be cleaning up downed trees and branches for months. It was really hard on the coast live oaks, which is a bummer as they're one of my favorite trees.

Right now it smells like ceramic paint protectionThat's pretty. Can almost smell the "new tractor" smell.
Looking great!Installed HYD top link. Installed another scuff pad on the fender. Taught the wife how to drive the tractorView attachment 787354View attachment 787355View attachment 787356View attachment 787357
Yes, all is well.Looking great!
Have you figured out the remotes situation yet? Maybe I missed it?
It’s actually a material I’ve used in motorcycling made by Tech Spec. It’s called High Fusion. Really nice stuff, durable and has reuseable adhesive. I did have to polish off the ceramic paint coating to get it to stick.Where did you buy the scuff pad material at?
Yes, the new H pattern is like butter… it is so easy to shift. I had heard this is a huge improvement over the past range selectorDoes your range transmission shift easily? My older three speed is really stiff. I used high gear for maybe the 5th time yesterday and the first time that was more than 50 yards, and it really did not want to shift back out. I keep it in second 95% of the time.
just make sure your following that h pattern religiously.. if you try to shift into the other side( 1-2) to (3-4) too fast you can jump out of the pattern and wedge your linkage, ive fixed 30+ of these since they made the design change in 20, while its not very common it can occur if you're a tad to hasty shifting, while it is a much better design its not without its owns issues.Yes, the new H pattern is like butter… it is so easy to shift.
