Builder says main shell will be complete by Tuesday July 11

Front porch/lean to completed shortly after

Insulation contractor scheduled for Thursday July 13

Septic trench should be started tomorrow or Saturday.

I’ll be on-site Saturday to build 2x6 demising wall and set electrical panel

Me and my buddy did some blocking on Sunday where a ledger will be for the loft
Ran some 2x4 nailers on top of the demising wall against the truss

Met with septic guy to spray paint the line for the pipe work

Neighbor and I agreed to $75 an hour for excavator work. Approx 3-6hrs total…….no delivery charge because he drives across the street!!!


Contractor was out today to do some more work.
More clay to bring up the grade for the covered front porch and they set some forms.

Concrete pour from the other day was a crap mix……builder busted it out and re-poured today.

Insulator is on-site as well.

I just saw this thread. I always wonder how I miss them, nice project. My daughter and I both went to college at SIU and I always liked the area. We have reservations in southern Illinois to watch the eclipse next year.

Just south of Forbes state park

I had to look it up, looks like you’re east of St. Louis. My daughter just moved to the St. Louis area and works in Belleville Illinois.
