I have a slight chainsaw addiction because I cut a LOT of wood...

I only buy pro saws and tend to stick to Husqvarna and Stihl but have a few Echos, too. I recently picked up the Echo 2511T and it has became my absolute favorite saw to run. It is so small and light it feels like a toy but it's a little speed demon that will eat through anything you throw at it. Being so small, it's very easy to pack around everywhere with you. If you need a small and light saw, I highly recommend you give this saw a look....

I am looking for a really light limbing saw. I’m all set for big saws.
Was looking at Stihl 193/194 etc.

That Echo isn’t small, it’s TINY!

I bought a top handle Echo last year that's pretty light, but keep finding myself using an Echo pole saw because I don't have to bend over to limb smaller trees. If they'd just make a hand held mulcher to grind those limbs, too, that would be awesome.

You would love this saw! I recently put a ported muffler on it and according to the dyno it increased the power by 27%.

I love Echo saws… I think they currently make the lightest saw on the market. I’m finding my electric (battery) saw is just too heavy to enjoy. Gas saws are lighter, faster and more powerful. Better in every metric. My Echo CA-400 is perfect for me

I'm skeptical. That's an awfully small saw. And for 5 bills?

I have a stihl ms151. I love that little thing.

It punches well above it's weight.

My stihl comes with a 1/4 pitch chain. It's narrow and fast.

It easily hangs with a ms261 in wood less than 10 inches. Infact...I bet it will cut a 10 inch log faster than a 261. In wood over 10 inches, it will loose.

I use it for limbing.

A little Stihl climber is 5 bills now, too.

Welcome to “new world order” prices!

I ran my 2511T the other day to remove some small 4-7" pines. It is a nifty little saw. Next saw up in my collection of 3 is my Stihl MS210. 2511T is much lighter. 2511T is super easy to start. I had not run that saw in a year and it was just a few easy pulls. MS210 is easy to start but not as easy as the Echo.

$400 with a 14 inch bar three years ago.

I have a 194. It’s awesome. I highly recommend it. It’s my favorite saw to grab for ‘most’ work but, have larger saws for the big stuff.

Did you make or buy your ported muffler? I'd love to see a video of your chainsaw in action.

I would love to have a CS 2511T woods modded with a ported muffler.

My local ECHO dealer has their “anniversary sale” on Feb 9th.
15% off.
I might take the plunge and actually buy an ECHO saw instead of a Stihl.

Will it hurt my Stihl 261c & 500i’s feelings?

Those are two great saws you have there. I purchased a new 261cm about 3 years ago and it's been a killer saw. I like the 550XP a little more though. The 500 is a beast of a saw for sure. I am buying a new saw soon too but unsure what it will be yet. I am kinda thinking of a Stihl 400 but that new Husky 540 MK III sure looks tempting as well!!!

I've come to like the battery chain saws. I have a little Greenworks saw. Not quite as powerful as some of the gas saws, but extremely easy to use. Pull the trigger and it goes. Let go of the trigger and it stops... very quickly.

And it is a lot quieter than a gas saw.

Mine is a few years old, so there are probably better ones now.

Most major brands are now offering battery powered saws including Stihl.
