I like this thread, too.

But the title of the thread is “Railroads and their tracks”. Anyone knows that would include the business of railroads, environmental aspects, economic aspects or anything else related to railroads and their tracks.

Maybe you should have made the title ”Pictures of railroads and their tracks” if you don’t want to read anything else but pictures?

I mean I like pictures just as much as anyone, but maybe we need to pin something on this thread that states “no talking about anything else but pictures” ArlyA?

I'd guess this is a logging camp photos and they were showing how good they are feed.

Another couple of nice shots from Monday March 25th as a southbound CN train rolls down Steelton Hill as moderate snow falls. Duluth, MN. Grain hopper train and pellet trains.

Wind turbine blades passing through Colorado. This is just the tail end of long string parked at the BNSF yards. The blades are so long they require double length articulated rail cars to negotiate curves.

I don’t know if it’s ok to take a quick break from copying/pasting railroad pictures, but a SEPTA subcontractor arrived today and tore out 940’ of rails and the ties underneath.

You can see the old steel & stone pier bridge way back there.

The small rails to trails project has begun.
