Mine were 14.5" , G rated, I think. That puts it somewhere around 3,000 to 3,500 lbs each tire. I can check the actual tires if you want.

However, for a set of 4 tires, that puts it in excess of 12,000 lbs.

I may try to add a third axle, so if I blow a tire, I'll still be able to tow to a safe pullout.

As mentioned, so far I've only done the aluminum boxes that are somewhere around 6K to 7K.

I do use equalizer bars.

As far as the other vehicle, those looked like 5 or 6 lug standard wheels. So, my guess is they were pushing the weight rating, although the tires didn't look flattened.

I would like a 20' or 24' steel box. Although I built my dolly/tongue to only haul 8' boxes, so if I find an 8'6" box, I'll be out of luck. But, loading and unloading a 20 footer will be different.

I have a cheap wheelbarrow that I put a airless tire on and use once in a while. I have my Dad's garden cart which I use a lot.
No way am I going to start my tractor to move some small items.

That guy slipping on that board with the wheelbarrow, reminds me of the time I filled a wheelbarrow full of manure and pushing it out of the barn, up the catwalk. I'm glad it was winter, almost to the end of the catwalk I slipped, but the last thing I did was push the wheelbarrow away from me and we both fell in the frozen manure. I didn't get anything on me.

yeah, a wheelbarrow and a tractor are both tools, use the tool that makes the specific job easier. I'm not lugging a wheelbarrow across the yard and handling the load more often if the tractor fits.

+1 on that. I have 3 wheelbarrows, a fairly heavy duty one that was my father's, a fairly new one with a poly tub and a light duty one I found at the dump 40-odd years ago that my wife uses when gardening. All 3 get used. Tractor loader gets used for stuff larger or heavier than I want to deal with using a wheelbarrow.

The big Rubbermaid garden carts are nice, and can haul quite a bit.

One of the big things nowdays are small tracked powered wheel barrows. I haven't justified one yet, but they could be sweet for some things. The problem with hauling away dumpings from a back hoe is that one could fill one's cart mighty quickly.

I remember from gradeschool that we would fill our manure wheel barrows at the top of the hill, and head down the hill with the thing so full that one could hardly pick it up. I don't remember dumping many, but there likely were a few that never quite made it to the destination.

I picked up a used wheelbarrow that somebody put 4 wheels on. It is handy for hauling stuff where it is flat. However, it can get away from one pretty easily on a slope.

I have a wheelbarrow and 2 Gorilla carts. I do have to admit that the carts and wheelbarrow only get used for downhill or the same elevation. A couple of weeks ago I did load some wood into one of the Gorilla carts to pull up to the woodshed. I rethought that and used the tractor to pull the cart up the hill. I did not want the handle to get loose, so I used a pintle hitch.

It's hard to get my tractor thru the pool gate and past the garden wall, up onto the patio. There's always use for a wheelbarrow.

Moreover, the more I use the tractor and the less I use my wheelbarrow, the more I realize how soft the tractor is making me, each time I need to revert. I used to spend most of a weekend pushing a wheelbarrow full of mulch or firewood all over my hilly yard, for many years before getting a front-end loader, but now it'd probably kill me after so many years of relying mostly on the loader.

Can you show how you attached it to the forks? That is a good idea and I have an old wheelbarrow basket.

I use a wheelbarrow to bring wood from the tote shed (next to the garage, holds 2 totes of wood) to my wood box, which is built into the house - door to the outside is on the deck and door to the inside is right next to the wood stove. Wheelbarrow is also used when weeding and garden tasks.

I probably use the hand truck as much or more than the wheelbarrow. Tractor is used if there's room and hundreds of pounds to move but the wheelbarrow and hand truck are right there and if there's two minutes of work I'd just as soon not drain the battery and leave condensation in the pipes on a short task.

I use the gorilla cart to haul wood from the stack to the front rack.
Also to take garbage and recycling down to the cans.
Small twigs and brush to be dumped.

used almost every day for small tasks where I don't need a tractor sitting around.

I load a tier of firewood across the back of my truck with the tonneau cover, park it next to the door and bring it into the house as needed. That will change next winter as I should have my garage built. Then I'll unload it from the truck or tractor bucket onto the porch, and feed the stove from there.
