Seats missing, but I pulled the brackets off the other one. Seat bases made of plywood was rotten, so rebuilding them or buying new ones is in order. Cool thing about the passenger bracket is it has a chicken bar on it for when the driver gets crazy!

This one left Kentucky on its way to TN and then to Florida today.

dfkrug,
I was just wondering if you have looked into your Toro transmission yet?
I will be sending a Toro transmission from Florida to Tennesse later this year or maybe as late as April of next year. (Acually sending a Toro that is missing a transmission and the engine/transmission from another unit to the friend who picked up the yellow one pictured above) He will be bringing the yellow Toro down at some point or I will go after it. Kind of hoping to get it sooner, so I may have to hook up the trailer and load up these and go after the yellow one.
Wondering what transmission parts you will need!

I got the battery all charged up and I was going to start it today or tomorrow, to see how the trans problem manifests while in operation on blocks. I am getting ready to pull the engine/trans together. Toughest issue may be disconnection of both axles from the wheel assemblies.

Pix coming.

I will be watching for the motor/transmission narrative! I will probably be pulling them out of the one that TN friend and I purchased together 50-50. I wanted the bed and frame and he wanted the engine tranny, but the bed ended up being a total rust issue. The bed could be rebuilt, but not sure if it is worth the effort and expense if I have a running one.
Interesting enough, the red Toro has the full glass door option, while the yellow/white has the half glass option along with a heater! The white yellow one has a heater, red doesn't. The white yellow one is propane and red is gasoline. The white yellow one is a manual deck, no hydraulics, red is full hydraulic. The parts machine I loaded on friends trailer for him that went to TN has the full hydraulic setup, but no bed. He is going to pull the cylinders, pump and lines to send home with the white yellow machine.
Heater fan, windshield wipers brakes and parking brakes are non-operational on the white yellow machine. Master cylinder was as dry as could be, not even a film on the tank, which is why the parking brake was worn out, as they probably used the parking brake to stop it!
Heater box has to be removed in order to get to the master cylinder, which may be why it was empty, who knows!
Take way too many pictures as you start the removal process! I will be watching closely!

I don't think removing the half shafts will be that big of a problem.
Good luck, hollar if you need anything!

Well, my unit has hydraulic dump bed AND hydraulic radiator cooling fan. My bed is already off.

Next, I think I will remove the roll bar, which should allow me to remove the plastic panel that covers the area under the seat. I am going to use this as a hands-on teaching experience for a neighbor kid (age 15) who has an interest in mechanical things.

I always wonder why people take the beds off. If the starter works, you can pull the lever to raise the bed and engage the starter and the bed will come up. Just over extend it and remove the cylinders and leave it attached at the rear. (see post #33). There were two Toro's for sale 100 miles away that had their beds removed, and the ad said... bring help, beds are on the ground and are heavy!
