what is your favorite skid steer ? i rented a cat too clean up a few things , plenty of power , i might buy it , last one i used was a melroe , maybe i should demo a couple different ones before i buy, sure has been nice in the ac on hot days
good point , I know a guy the machine quit had bucket up had too kick window outI like a roll up overhead door, because it doesn't matter where your lift arms are you can get out of the cab, this is important if you work much by yourself, most swing open door models must have the lift arms all the way down or way up to open the door and exit the cab, Kubota and Takeuchi have roll up overhead doors, I have a Kubota and it has been great.
looks goodSome are designed better to allow maintenance work to be easier. Does it have easy access under the cab and to all the filters? Access to pump drive belts and drive chains?
Don't they have a button beside the seat to let the boom/bucket down if it quits running ??good point , I know a guy the machine quit had bucket up had too kick window out
good ? ill checkDon't they have a button beside the seat to let the boom/bucket down if it quits running ??
I know our Case skid loaders do.
I think you meant to reply to the fire thread. Good for the OP to read that thread.Hopefully, Kubota ins. will take care of this without any issues.
Local guy had a Cat 299d I think it was he used for forestry mulching. Had a flare up and thought he had it put out with his fire extinguisher, but it flared back up and burned up his unit plus the $30K mulching head.
I think im goin to demo a bobcat , deere , case see what works bestI've only rented skid steers for different jobs that I was doing. Every time it's been a Bobcat. They seem well built and every rental yard seems to have them. I can only guess why they are so popular with the different rental companies.
If I was buying, I'd start with Kubota because everyone who has one, seems to really like them more then any other brand they've had. A friend just bout a Deere and says it's the best he's ever had, and he has a long history of renting different brands before he decided to buy one.
My Kubota is 68 and the Cat is 74Are they the same HP?
