Fuel is auto.

I never used auto even on my oem for oil. I used the other one like shown on afm one too. Why I have that unused spout still.

No shoulder strap.

The good thing about these NATO Jerry cans is you only need to buy them once and your kids can inherit them after you no longer need fuel!

These are the safest, most practical and likely the lowest cost fuel cans in the long run.

I tried the dual fuel/oil cans long time ago and don't care for them at all.

The cans are great. The flexible metal spouts, not so much. They always leak.

I've never tried the metal spout that is available for the NATO Jerry can. I do have a plastic one that came with one of my cans that works OK. I don;t use it much, since filler port on my antique truck is made to work with the plain Jerry can without a spout.

I was thinking of ordering one of the metal ones for my every day can, but from your report, I'm now wondering if that's a waste of time. Do you recall what brand your spout is? Was it leaking at the gasket, or in the spout itself? Leaks at the seal are not uncommon. It's important to make sure things seat properly when closing the lid or adding the spout - especially the first few uses with a new gasket.

I was thinking of ordering one of the Valpro flexible metal spouts, since they are one of the original Jerry can manufacturers. They cost a bit more than the knock offs, but I was hoping the quality would be decent. Now wondering if I should just live with the plastic one (until it breaks).

I have used the auto oil for years and it works as promised.
I guess if my Husky can dumps another nozzle, I will switch to the knock off.
I do think the Husky bottle is worth maybe up to $100 for the weekly user. Its a professional grade “tool” for the contractor or more often user.

It ain’t worth $138 or more, that’s for sure. You’re just paying a “bend over” fee at that point.

The advantage I can see to the long flexible spout - mind you, I don't have one for my wavian cans - is that you can get the spout into the filler next before hefting the can up into position to dispense.

I have a couple different basic spouts that came with my cans - one with a spring loaded thing (don't care for it) and one that's just open (they weren't supposed to ship that to CA), probably this one:

The open one is fairly short, and as soon as fuel can move from the can to the spout it'll flow, so depending on what you're pouring it into you better have it in the right spot! I don't care much for the spring spout because the spring is pretty stout and the nozzle doesn't flow as quickly as the other one.

So far, no messes with mine. I have 4 of the yellow cans for my tractor; the short open spout flows fairly quickly with just a bit of gurgle from the air return.

I also have two red cans for gasoline; I refill the lawn tractor directly from them, and have a one gallon (actually 1.25g) with push-button spout that I use for 50:1 mix.

If I were to use the nato can to refuel my F350, I'd probably want that flex spout because its fillers are a pain to use, but my can have dyed fuel in them.

It's getting harder to find the Husqvarn Combi fuel can for under $100. Back in January 2024, I was able to order two, delivered to my home for about $75 each. A purchase a couple of years earlier was significantly less expensive.

This deal for $88.61 including shipping to the US is the best I'm finding now:

Japan is where I found the cheaper OEM spout too for guy that was looking. But who knows how long shipping would take.

NATO style cans in my area
Seems like a good buy
Includes nozzles….

Looks like new they are about $75-$85 each. I might buy these, keep 1 or 2 and resell the rest
